There is to be a COVID-19 vaccine booster dose available this Fall. There are reformulated vaccines that target Omicron variants that are increasing in the U.S. Moderna, Pfizer, and BioNTech are confident they will have enough doses ready by then.
An FDA-recommended campaign is planned to get as many Americans who qualify to get this booster. I don’t yet know the criteria for who qualifies (e.g., age, high risk medical conditions, etc.).
